On Sunday (April 3) afternoon at Findlay, Ashland University's softball team lost 8-0 and 11-3 decisions to the Oilers in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Eagles are 6-13 overall and 0-6 in the conference, and the Oilers are 21-9, 5-1.

WHAT HAPPENED
- In the opener, the Oilers scored once in the first inning, twice in the third, thrice in the fourth and twice in the fifth.
- Freshman Mollie Pentz was 2-for-2 for AU in Game 1. Junior Josie Duncan (5-9) allowed 14 hits, eight runs (seven earned) and no walks and struck out two in 4 2/3 innings.
- In Game 2, Findlay scored six in the first inning en route to the victory. Ashland got on the board with single runs in the fourth through sixth innings.
- Senior center fielder Jamie Rutherford was 2-for-3 and two runs scored. Duncan (5-10) yielded six hits, eight runs (five earned) and three walks and struck out one in 1 1/3 innings.
