AU Tennis Teams Lose Home Tilts With Oilers

On Senior Day on Saturday (April 16) in nearby Lexington, Ohio, both of Ashland University's tennis teams lost to Findlay in Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchups.
 
The Eagle men (6-12 overall, 2-4 conference) lost 4-2 to the Oilers (11-11, 5-1), while the AU women (7-9, 3-4) fell in a 4-1 decision to UF (14-8, 6-1).
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• In the men's match, Ashland earned the doubles point thanks to two wins from seniors Stuart Brdicka and Jordan Phelps at No. 1 (6-4), and freshman William Rassat and senior Tche Kun Teng at No. 3 (7-5). In singles, Rassat won at No. 2, 7-5, 6-3.
• The women's match saw the Eagles win the doubles point with victories from sophomore Kortney Reed and senior Huntyr Lake at No. 1 (6-2), and senior Gabriella Hudec and freshman Claudia Adcock at No. 2 (6-2).
