In a pair of Sunday (April 10) non-conference road matches, Ashland University's men's and women's tennis teams lost at Southern Indiana, 4-3 and 5-2, respectively.
The Eagle men are 6-10 after the loss at USI (9-6), and the AU women are 7-7 after Sunday's defeat to the Screaming Eagles (7-6).
WHAT HAPPENED
- In the men's match, Ashland won three of six singles matchups – senior Stuart Brdicka at No. 1 (6-0, 6-4), freshman William Rassat at No. 2 (6-3, 6-4), and sophomore Omar Prince at No. 6 (6-4, 4-6, 10-6). Brdicka and fellow senior Jordan Phelps earned AU's one doubles win at No. 1, 6-2.
- The women's match saw senior Huntyr Lake win at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-3) and freshman Claudia Adcock win at No. 4 singles (6-4, 6-3). The Eagle women also had a doubles victory, senior Gabriella Hudec and Adcock at No. 2 (6-3).
