Keeping pace atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference table, the No. 24-ranked Ashland University women's soccer team earned a fourth consecutive victory, 2-0, at Malone on Thursday (Oct. 6) night.

The Eagles are 9-3 overall and 7-1 in the league, and remain tied with Cedarville for first place in the Great Midwest. The Pioneers, after a fourth straight loss, are 1-6-3, 0-5-3.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Following a scoreless first half, the only goal AU's women ultimately would need came in the 59th minute. Fifth-year midfielder Georgia Nagucki scored her third penalty kick goal and fourth goal overall in 2022.
- The Eagles' insurance tally came in the 74th minute, when sophomore forward McKinley Mendenhall, the team's leading scorer, posted her fourth goal of the fall. Freshman forward Dani Hicks picked up her second assist.

- Senior goalkeeper Bri Rogers needed just one save for her fourth consecutive clean sheet, her sixth of the season and 14th overall as an Eagle.
- Ashland out-shot Malone, 17-4, and took 11 of the game's 12 corner kicks.
