Ashland University's volleyball team successfully returned to Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Friday (Oct. 21) night, sweeping Trevecca Nazarene on the road, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.
Â
The Eagles continue to be the only volleyball team in the Midwest Region to be undefeated in conference play, and move to 19-6 overall and 12-0 in the league. Ashland, which improved to 4-0 all-time against the Trojans, continues to receive votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division II coaches poll, and is one victory away from its first 20-win season since 2019 (24).
Â
AU also is on the verge of clinching its second consecutive Great Midwest South Division title, leading second-place Cedarville by 3½ matches and third-place TNU by four matches with five regular-season contests to play.
