Eagle Men Conclude Play At ITA Regionals In Michigan

Ashland University's men's tennis team played at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 24-25), hosted by Grand Valley State.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• In the singles A bracket, senior Stuart Brdicka, the No. 11 seed, went 2-2. His wins came against Xavier Vicent Navarro of Lake Superior State (6-1, 7-6(4)) and Pedja Trifunovic of Lewis (6-0, 6-2).
• Another senior, Jordan Phelps, went 1-2 in singles A, with his win coming vs. Luca Kirchhoff of Purdue Northwest (5-7, 6-4, 10-8).
• In doubles A, Brdicka/Phelps sported a 1-1 mark.
• Freshman Fabian Bussard was 0-2 in singles B, and he and senior Tche Kun Teng were 1-2 at doubles B.
• Freshman Omar Prince was 1-2 at singles B, junior Jacob Hoffman went 2-1 at singles C, and Hoffman and sophomore Grant Marzio were 1-1 at doubles C.
