A full-strength Ashland University volleyball team is creating some excitement at Kates Gymnasium.

On Saturday (Sept. 25) night at home, the Eagles rallied after losing the first set for the second match in a row, winning 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-9, 25-16) over Ohio Dominican and moving into sole possession of first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's South Division.

Ashland improves to 5-7 overall and 4-0 in the Great Midwest after its fourth win in a row, while the Panthers are 9-4, 3-1.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Once again, the Eagles' offense was paced by senior outside hitter Erin Krupar, who ended with 21 kills and a .353 hitting percentage, and added 13 digs on defense.
- Senior setter Zoey Peck filled up the stat sheet with 48 assists, 11 digs and six kills, while freshmen GraceAnn Hartman and Sage Kissman each had a dozen kills.
- Defensively, sophomore libero Katie Thompson dug a team-high 20 times, and junior defensive specialist Stephanie Smith rounded out four players in double digits with 11 digs.
