Walsh's men's soccer team broke a scoreless tie in the 85
th minute on Saturday (Sept. 18) afternoon, and Ashland University lost a 1-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup on the road to the undefeated Cavaliers.
The Eagles are 0-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the Great Midwest, while Walsh moves to 5-0-1, 2-0-0.
WHAT HAPPENED
- After 84 minutes of scoreless soccer on Saturday, Cavalier Manny Perez tallied the game's lone goal on a feed from Eirik Bomann.
- Junior goalkeeper Brett Robinson continues to be strong in the Eagle nets, making three saves and dropping his season goals-against average to 1.29.
- Ashland had a decided 16-8 advantage in shots taken, and edged Walsh in corner kicks, 6-5.
