Ashland University's women's soccer team completed a home sweep of Michigan Upper Peninsula teams on Saturday (April 3), defeating Northern Michigan, 2-1, at Ferguson Field.
The Eagles' second home win in three days leaves them at 3-1 overall and in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Wildcats are 3-2, 3-2.

Vanessa Menchofer in the 60
th minute. Junior defender
Mary Grace Haney had the assist on a cross.
Northern Michigan began the scoring in the seventh minute, but Ashland quickly countered in the 11
th minute on junior forward/midfielder
Makenzie Kelly's fourth goal in as many games. Sophomore forward
Bailey Clark had the assist.
The Wildcats outshot the Eagles, 17-8. Senior goalkeeper
Hannah Lee (3-1) earned the victory with a pair of saves.
Ashland will continue its homestand on Friday (April 9) at 7 p.m. vs. Purdue Northwest.
