Ashland University's volleyball team has made its mark in its first season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and on Saturday (Nov. 6) night, the Eagles clinched at least a share of the South Division championship following a 3-1 (25-12, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19) win at Ohio Dominican.

The Eagles, now winners of four matches in a row, are 15-12 overall and 11-3 in the Great Midwest. The Panthers are 16-12, 9-6.

WHAT HAPPENED
- An offense which hit .263 on Saturday night was paced by senior outside hitter Erin Krupar, who recorded 21 kills and hit .286, and senior outside hitter Heidi Fausze, who had 15 kills and hit .271.
- Freshman right-side hitter GraceAnn Hartman added 10 kills and hit .308.
- Senior setter Zoey Peck had 35 assists on offense and added 15 digs on defense, and Krupar added four service aces.
- Both Krupar and sophomore libero Katie Thompson led the AU defense with 18 digs, while junior defensive specialist Stephanie Smith added 14.
