On Friday (Oct. 22) night in Michigan, Ashland University's volleyball team lost a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-17) match to No. 18 Hillsdale.

The Eagles, leaders of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference's South Division, are 11-11 overall and 8-2 in the league. The Chargers, leading the Great Midwest's North Division, are 19-3, 10-0.

Hillsdale is the fifth AU opponent this fall ranked in the Top 25 in the country at the time of the match.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Ashland's offense once again was paced by senior outside hitter Erin Krupar, who collected 21 kills and hit .254. Senior setter Zoey Peck had 28 assists on offense, and added 17 digs on defense.
- Four Eagles had double-digit digs – sophomore libero Katie Thompson (25), junior defensive specialist Stephanie Smith (20), Peck, and senior defensive specialist Sophie Dahn (11).
- The match featured 16 tie scores and eight lead changes.
