The Eagles shot 63.6 percent from the field (highest since 63.6 at Tiffin on Feb. 22, 2014) while outrebounding Alderson Broaddus by a wide 46-21 margin. Ashland had 50 points in the paint to the Battlers' 24.

AU is 32-7 in its last 39 games against non-conference opponents, and has started 2-0 for the first time since 2012-13.
