Box Score The Ashland University women's volleyball team raised its record to 2-1 Saturday morning (Sept. 7), sweeping Missouri-St. Louis, 3-0. The Eagles dispatched the Tritons, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20. This match took place at the Ferris State Bulldog Invitational.
This was AU's second sweep of the young season. On Friday in the season opener, the Eagles enjoyed a 3-0 triumph over IUP.
Kate Eckels had a team-high 12 kills against UMSL. Shelly DeHenning had 35 assists and a team-leading 10 digs.Samantha Zuber had five aces and Rylee Scott had four blocks.
Up next for the Eagles is a date with California (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon. The Vulcans were picked to win the Pennsylvania Conference Western Division in the PSAC Coaches' Preseason Poll. Ashland is the favorite to win the GLIAC South Division crown.
