Tuesday night (Nov. 5) at Lake Erie, the Eagles dispatched the Storm, 3-0. That's Ashland's fifth consecutive win and all have been by 3-0 counts. AU is 19-6 and 11-3 in the GLIAC. The Eagles are in first place in the GLIAC South Division.
AU head coach Cass Dixon played 12 players in this 25-22, 25-11, 25-16 triumph. Samantha Zuber had five aces and Maureen Johnson had four block solos. Alli Cudworth led the team with six kills. Setter Shelly DeHenning had 24 assists.
Lake Erie's Mary Walter led all players in the game with 11 kills.
The Storm is 1-22 and 1-13 in the GLIAC.
The Eagles have two more road matches this week. Friday (Nov. 8) the Eagles play at Tiffin and late Saturday afternoon (Nov. 9), AU will be at Ohio Dominican. Two weeks remain in the GLIAC regular season.
