AU Volleyball Wins Fourth Straight, Tops Malone, 3-0

The AU volleyball team ran its winning streak to four matches on Saturday (Nov. 2) with a 3-0 triumph over Malone at Kates Gymnasium. This was the final home regular season match of the season.

The Eagles won 25-11, 25-12, 25-15. The Eagles are 18-6, 10-3 in the GLIAC. Malone is 10-14 and 5-8. Ashland is in first place in the GLIAC South Division.

AU used 13 players in the match. Samantha Zuber paced the Eagles with 11 kills. Marci Zegarac had 12 digs and Shelly DeHenning had 34 assists and four block assists.

Lauren Townley had a team-high five kills for the Pioneers.

The Eagles have five matches left in the regular season. The first of those matches is Tuesday (Nov. 5, 7 p.m.) at Lake Erie.
