Box Score The AU volleyball team fell into an early hole on Friday (Oct. 18) at Northwood and lost to the host Timberwolves, 3-1.
NU won the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-17. The Eagles rallied with a 25-23 victory in the third set. Northwood ended the evening with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.
For the first time this season the Eagles are looking at a two-match losing streak. The Eagles lost last Saturday at home to Grand Valley State.
In this match, Alli Cudworth paced the Eagles with 22 kills and a .262 hitting percentage. Casey Clark had eight kills and 14 digs while Marci Zegarac had 21 digs and Megan Rohlfs added 18 digs.
Juliia Pakhomenko had 21 kills and 14 digs for the Timberwolves. Krysta Kramer finished with 10 kills and 19 digs. Cassandra Marsh also had 10 digs. Jordan Dunn had 52 assists.
Ashland is 13-5, 7-3 in the GLIAC. Northwood is 12-6 and 7-3.
The Eagles play at Hillsdale on Saturday at noon.
