Steve Paramore

AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • This is Paramore's fourth season as volunteer assistant coach for the Eagle women's golf team. In 2003-04, he was the AU women's golf team's head coach.
  • He also is the public address announcer for various Eagle home sporting events.
BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • At Florida Southern, Paramore was a four-time NCAA Division II GCAA All-American in men's golf, and member of the 2000 Division II national-championship team.
PERSONAL
  • Married for 19 years to Kerre Devaul-Paramore, and they have two daughters - Klaira (junior on the AU women's golf team) and Mazie. The family resides in Ashland, Ohio.
  • He has taught and coached in the Ashland City School District since 2004, and currently serves as the district's Superintendent.
  • Paramore is a member of the Florida Southern Athletics Hall of Fame, Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame and Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame.
  • He is a 1999 graduate of Ashland High School, where he won an individual and team Ohio Division I state golf championship.
  • Paramore has won the 1999 Ohio Junior championship, 2003 Ohio Amateur championship, and 2005 and 2017 Ohio Amateur Public Links championship.
