AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • Sharpe is in his fourth year at Ashland University as the track and field program's sprints and hurdles coach.
  • In 2024-25, Sharpe's charges earned three NCAA Division II All-American honors indoors and one outdoors.
  • He guided the women's 4x400-meter relay team to D-II All-American status both indoors and outdoors in 2022-23, and senior Brenden Jackson was an All-American in the men's 400 hurdles outdoors in 2024.
BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • Prior to coming to AU, Sharpe was the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field (2021-22) and assistant track and field coach (2018-21) at American International College. He was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) men's and women's cross country East Region Coach of the Year in 2021, women's East Region Coach of the Year in 2022, and Assistant Coach of the Year for 2019 men's outdoor track and 2020 women's indoor track.
  • Sharpe served as the head men's track and field coach at the University of New Haven from 2016-18, and the assistant coach for men's and women's track and field and cross country at his alma mater, Southern Connecticut State, from 2014-16.
  • Since 2016, Sharpe coached more than 20 first-team All-Americans.
PERSONAL
  • Sharpe is a 2013 graduate of Southern Connecticut State, and earned a master's degree from SCSU in 2015.
