AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • Simko led the Eagles to many firsts in 2025 - the program's first Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular-season and conference championships, as well as its first game in the NCAA Division II postseason.
  • She was named 2025 Great Midwest Coach of the Year, and guided AU to a 14-6 record overall and a perfect 8-0 regular-season slate in the conference.
  • The 2024 season found Simko guiding Ashland to a 11-8 overall record and 5-2 mark in the Great Midwest. She was named conference co-Coach of the Year, and led the Eagles to their first conference tournament victory.
  • Simko's second season as head coach saw the program's first .500 season (9-9) and first better-than-.500 season in conference play (5-3). The Eagles made the Great Midwest Tournament for the second year in a row.
  • In her first season leading the program, Simko led Ashland to a 6-11 overall record, a 5-5 mark in the Great Midwest, and the Great Midwest Tournament in the first season in the league.
BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • Simko came to Ashland with seven years of head coaching experience having spent the previous two seasons as the women’s lacrosse head coach at fellow G-MAC member Ursuline College. She was named the 2021 G-MAC Coach of the Year.
  • Prior to her time at Ursuline, Simko was the head coach for three seasons at the University of Findlay where she guided the Oilers to the 2019 G-MAC championship. In total, Simko led the Oilers to 32 wins in three seasons, including a 15-4 mark in 2018.
  • She coached 13 All-G-MAC selections while at Findlay and put four players on the all-region teams.
  • Simko also has head coaching experience at the University of Dallas and Cornell College.
  • She got her start in collegiate coaching as a graduate assistant at Lake Erie College, where she earned her master’s in business administration.

  • Simko is a 2011 graduate of Lees-McRae (N.C.) College, where she played lacrosse for four years.
