Lane Leedy

  • Leedy is in her second year as Eagle assistant softball coach.
BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY
  • She spent five seasons as assistant softball coach at the University of Findlay, helping the Oilers to the first regional runner-up finish in program history.
  • Prior to that, Leedy was head coach at Black Hills State from 2014-19, guiding the program during transition from NAIA to NCAA and leading the team to every major wins and conference record.
  • Was Toledo interim head coach in 2013-14, setting a single-season wins record while program transitioned to new head coach.
  • Having extensive experience in the travel ranks, Leedy compiled a record of 232-67 over five years for the Ohio Stingrays. She helped lead the Stingrays to two ASA State Championships and a Regional PGF title. She also helped 57 of her players earn college scholarships.
  • Along with the travel experience, Leedy was the varsity assistant coach for Lexington High School and Tuscarawas Central Catholic. She was also the head coach of Newcomerstown High School, where she led the program to its first-ever winning record along with a sectional championship and district runner-up performances.
  • Leedy began her career as a player for Bluffton University as a three-way starter. Her squad was the 2004 Heartland HCAC Conference Champions and earned a ranking as high as 21st in the nation in NCAA Division III.
