Josh Wiemels

AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY

Wiemels is in his sixth year as Ashland University's head athletic trainer, overseeing AU's seven-person athletic-training staff.

BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY

Came to Ashland from Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, where he worked as athletic trainer for the NBA G League's Canton Charge, Malone University women's soccer, the NFL Alumni Academy, and covering events at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
From 2014-16, Wiemels worked at Fayette County Memorial Hospital, and was the head athletic trainer at Washington City Schools.
From 2012-14, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Texas A&M-Commerce, and during the 2012 season, had an internship with the National Football League's Cincinnati Bengals.

Wiemels is a 2012 graduate of Wilmington College. He earned his master's degree in 2014 at Texas A&M-Commerce.
