AT ASHLAND UNIVERSITY

  • Orsini will begin his eighth year with Ashland University’s football program in 2025. He also is beginning his sixth season as AU's recruiting coordinator.
  • In 2022, Orsini was part of a defensive staff which guided the top defense in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and the ninth-best total and scoring defense in NCAA Division II. Sophomore cornerback Devin Prude earned first-team All-Great Midwest honors.
  • Prior to moving to defense, Orsini served as the team’s graduate assistant on the offensive side of the football, coaching receivers in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, Ashland’s leading receiver, Logan Bolin, earned second-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognition, led the GLIAC in receptions, and was a National Football Foundation Campbell trophy semifinalist. 

BEFORE ASHLAND UNIVERSITY

  • Orsini spent a year at Franklin & Marshall University, coaching running backs and receivers in 2017. While on staff at F&M, Orsini helped head coach John Troxell earn his first Centennial Conference championship, which was also the university’s first conference championship in 12 years.
  • With Orsini’s assistance, the Diplomats offense was one of the best in the Centennial Conference, ranking second in both scoring offense (37.9) and total offense (424.6). Running back Taalib Gerald and wide receiver K.J. Pretty were both named first-team All-Centennial for the 2017 season.
  • As a quarterback at Ohio Wesleyan from 2013-16, Orsini was a team captain, a three-year letter winner and a five-time conference Player of the Week. He set the program record for total yards in a game with 494.
  • Orsini was a three-year letter winner and team captain as a quarterback at Akron Archbishop Hoban High School, earning third-team All-Ohio, first-team all-district and first-team all-conference honors. He also has that program's record for total yards in a game (539).
