Ashland University junior outside hitter Alli Cudworth is the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division Volleyball Player of the Week for 2015.
Cudworth led the Eagles to a 4-0 start to the 2015 season, the team's best start since 2006 (5-0). In four matches at Clarion's Tony Banner Memorial, she earned tournament Most Valuable Player honors by recording 73 kills, 32 digs, 10 total blocks and a hitting percentage of .385.
Cudworth, the 2013 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, had back-to-back-to-back matches with 21, 19 and 22 kills in wins against North Alabama, Indianapolis and Gannon, respectively, and had a weekend-best 13 digs against the Greyhounds.
The Eagles will return to action on Friday (Sept. 11) and Saturday (Sept. 12) for four matches at the University of Indianapolis Tournament.
