Ashland University head women's golf coach Kory Oslie has announced the signing of two 2016-17 freshmen – Logan Pottorf of Minerva and Anna Schatschneider of Avon – to the program.
Pottorf has been a member of a state-qualifying team and a Northeastern Buckeye Conference-championship squad, both in 2014. She is a three-time first-team All-NBC selection, a four-time first-team All-Eastern District choice and a two-time first-team All-Stark County pick.
Pottorf is a four-year varsity letter winner in golf and a two-year varsity letter winner in basketball.
"Logan is a multi-sport athlete who is very competitive person," Oslie said. "I'm excited to have her join the team and work together to develop her into a great golfer."
Schatschneider is a four-time conference champion – three in the West Shore Conference and one in the Southwestern Conference. She also is a 2015 state qualifier and a four-time district qualifier. Her low round of 68 was a record score at the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation Showcase in 2015.
Schatschneider was a first-team All-Northeast District selection as a senior, and finished in a tie for 26th at the Division I state tournament. She is a four-year varsity golf letter winner.
"We are extremely excited to have Anna join the Lady Eagles in the fall," Oslie said. "She has a great amount of work ethic and determination, and I know she will prepare herself to be ready to be a major contributor during her freshman year."
