Eagles Place Third At GLIACs; Green Earns First-Team Honors

On Sunday (April 26), Ashland University's women's golf team finished the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in third place, and junior Ali Green ended the day with first-place All-GLIAC honors.

The Eagles finished the three-round event with a team score of 939. Grand Valley State won the GLIAC team title at 912, followed by Findlay at 931.

Sophomore Kaitlin Neumann paced AU on the weekend, firing a final-round 74 to finish in a tie for seventh place individually at 80-79-74—233. Green was one shot behind Neumann for the tournament, finishing in a tie for ninth at 79-75-80—234.

Senior Abby Tepe was tied for 11th with her weekend showing of 79-79-77—235, senior Madison Musick placed in a tie for 16th at 81-78-81—240 and sophomore Emily Jereb was tied for 22nd at 78-79-87—244.

In addition to Green earning a place on the GLIAC first team, Musick, Neumann and Tepe all are conference second-teamers.
