Ashland University senior Kim Habegger has earned third-team Academic All-America status, as the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America Division II track & field/cross country teams were announced on Wednesday (June 24).
Habegger earned All-American honors outdoors in the hammer throw, placing fourth at the national meet (188-feet-3/57.39 meters). At the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor meet, she placed second in the hammer throw at 192-feet-1/58.55 meters.
Indoors in 2014-15, Habegger finished second in the weight throw at the GLIAC meet (64-feet-3¼/19.59 meters).
Habegger, a three-time All-American, is in AU's MBA program, and her cumulative GPA is 3.86. She also earned a spring 2015 GLIAC Commissioner's Award.
The Academic All-America teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
