AU Goes Into Alumni Open With Seven Auto, 26 Provisional Nationals Marks

Ashland University's outdoor track and field teams have seen their automatic and potential national qualifiers pool grow once again, increasing their ranks for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Nationals (May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich.) to seven automatic and 26 provisional marks.

The AU men, the No. 1-ranked team in Division II, and Eagle women, ranked 10th in the country, will play host to the annual Ashland Alumni Open on April 24-25 (schedule -, and will do so with some of the top athletes in the nation.

Senior Drew Windle boasts the top Division II outdoors time in the men's 800-meter run (1:47.80), and junior Elijha Owens does the same in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles (51.83).

Junior Jamie Sindelar has the second-farthest outdoors women's shot put in D-II this spring at 16.12 meters/52-feet-10¾.
