High School Success
Hronek was a four-time letterman, was a district qualifier for three years and a state qualifier his senior year. He was named all-conference honorable mention junior year and all-conference in the 200 I.M. and 100 backstroke senior year.
Personal
Kyle is the son of Karen and Dan Hronek. He has a brother, Danny, and two step-brothers, Kris and Kevan. Kyle was born on May 26, 1992, and is majoring in secondary math education.

Why did you choose Ashland University?
I chose Ashland because I wanted to swim and have a more focused education, plus the coaches take a real interest in your training.
What is your favorite part of training?
My favorite part of training is 25s pulling bags, and racing people, to see how many bottles we can pull.
What was your favorite class you have taken so far and why?
My favorite class so far would have to be lifetime wellness. Our professor is very understandable and uses situations to get the information across in a way that makes it exciting.
What is your favorite memory at Ashland so far?
My favorite memory at Ashland so far, is the trips to Cedar Point and working with the guys, “shout out to Cody aka Bobby Flay and I’m Rachel Ray”
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
After graduation, I see myself as a high school math teacher and coaching the school’s swim team.
