The Ashland University women's and men's swimming and diving teams were each recognized as Division II Scholar Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America the organization announced on Monday (Jan. 29).
Each of the CSCAA Scholar Teams achieved a 3.00 grade-point average in the fall semester. The AU women qualified with a team GPA of 3.37, while the men posted a 3.14 team GPA.
The Eagles are in their second year under head coach Ron Allen.
Ashland, which celebrated Senior Night on Friday with a sweep of Malone and Urbana in a tri-meet, is in preparation for the GLIAC Championships, which will be held Feb. 14-17 in Jenison, Mich.
