Menhart Named D-II Third-Team Academic All-America

Ashland University senior center fielder Taylor Menhart continues to add to her post-career accolades list, as she was named to the third team of the Capital One 2014-15 Division II Academic All-America Softball Team on Thursday (May 28).

Menhart's senior season included a .415 batting average, 47 runs scored, 16 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs, 42 RBIs, 26 walks, seven stolen bases, an on-base percentage of .497 and a slugging percentage of .767.

The Academic All-America honor adds to Menhart's busy offseason, which also has included being named honorable mention Daktronics/Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association All-America, first-team Midwest Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), first-team All-Midwest Region from Daktronics, first-team All-Capital One Academic District 4 and first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
