Thanks to Mother Nature, Ashland University's softball and baseball teams will have to wait to get back on the field and resume Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
The Eagle softball team's home doubleheader against Hillsdale, originally scheduled for Wednesday (April 8) has been moved to Friday (April 10) at 3 p.m. at Brookside Park. Ashland is 23-5 overall and 8-4 in the GLIAC, while Hillsdale is 11-13, 2-4.
Ashland is slated to play eight home games (and 10 games overall) in a 12-day span.

AU's baseball team, ranked No. 21 in Division II, was scheduled to play a doubleheader Wednesday at Lake Erie, and that has been changed to Thursday (April 9) at 2 p.m. The Eagles are 21-7 overall, 10-2 in the GLIAC, 8-0 in the GLIAC South Division and are riding an eight-game winning streak. The Storm is 11-9/8-4/4-4.
The Eagles will play six road games in four days following the change.
