Ashland University senior center fielder Taylor Menhart has earned a second Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week honor in the last three weeks.
In four games last week against Urbana and Ohio Dominican, Menhart was 9-for-14 (.643) with six runs scored, four doubles, one triple, one home run, three RBIs and three walks. Ashland won all four games.
Menhart leads the GLIAC in batting average (.540), home runs (four), runs scored (20), triples (four) and slugging percentage (1.040), and is tied for first with 19 RBIs. She ranks sixth in Division II in batting average and fourth in slugging percentage.
The Eagles (15-1) will play host to Notre Dame College on Tuesday (March 24) at 3 p.m.
