Sophomore second baseman Kalene Freshour (3-for-4, two runs scored), junior first baseman Jen Moore (3-for-4, three RBIs) and junior catcher Bri Buckley (3-for-3, triple, three RBIs, two runs scored) all had three of AU's 14 hits, and senior center fielder Taylor Menhart added two doubles. Senior pitcher Amber McDermott improved to 6-0 after striking out three and scattering 10 hits and two runs in seven innings.

The second game saw the Eagles rally from deficits of 3-2 after three innings, 5-3 after five innings and 5-4 after six innings. Moore's solo home run in the top of the seventh tied the game at 5, then senior catcher Jerrica Young's sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth provided the final margin.

Junior pitcher Brittany Flanigan went all eight innings and improved to 5-0, striking out seven and allowing five hits, one earned run and five walks.
