For the second straight week, Ashland's No. 1 doubles team Brdicka and Phelps, are ranked in the top 25 in NCAA Division II.
Brdicka and Phelps were named the No. 17 doubles team in the nation on Wednesday (March 26) by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. They moved up one spot after the Eagles as a team took down two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents during the week.
The duo went 1-1 in the past week, earning a 6-4 win over Davenport's No. 1 team of sophomore Jonathan Bulmer and senior Matthew McClurg.
Brdicka and Phelps are now 9-3 this season against Division II competition. Their biggest win of the year coming against No. 6-ranked Cormac McCooey and Unai Amilleta Gonzalez of Mercyhurst.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday (March 30) against Davis & Elkins at home at 1 p.m.
