Eagle Men Fall Short Against Tiffin

Ashland University's men's tennis team lost a tight match at home against Tiffin on Saturday (March 16), 4-3.

The Eagles only won one doubles match and didn't get the point. At No. 2 doubles, junior Priyank Soni and senior Stanislaw Grzeslo won 7-6 in a match that came down to the wire.

The top three singles players all won to earn all three points for Ashland.  

At No. 1 singles, Soni won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Stuart Brdicka won in straight sets at No. 2 singles as well, 6-2, 6-4. Freshman Colten Clark was the final Eagle to win a match. He won at No. 3 singles in a hard-fought three-set match, 7-5, 3-6, 10-6.

Ashland's men will be back in action on Sunday (March 17), as they take on Edinboro at 3:45 p.m.
