AU Tennis Teams Lose 2026-27 Home Openers To West Virginia Wesleyan

For the first time in 2026-27, Ashland University's tennis teams played at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex – with the Eagle men losing 6-1 and AU women dropping a 7-0 decision to West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday (Sept. 26) afternoon.
 
The Eagle men's win came at No. 4 singles, as sophomore Eduardo Lima defeated Hugo Poulain, 3-6, 7-5 (10-7).
 
Ashland's men (1-1) and women (0-0) will return to action on Homecoming, hosting West Virginia State on Oct. 3 at noon.
