As announced by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on Friday (Aug. 7) afternoon, Ashland University is one of 175 schools to have both its women's and men's soccer teams earn the 2025-26 College Team Academic Award.
Programs earn the USC College Team Academic Award by having a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The Eagle women's 3.74 team GPA ranked as one of the highest among the 451 women's team honorees, and was the highest among Great Midwest Athletic Conference sides.
Ashland's men's team GPA last season was 3.39.
Both Eagle teams' 2026 seasons will begin with a doubleheader at Ferguson Field on Aug. 27 – the men vs. Davis & Elkins at 3 p.m., then at 6 p.m., the No. 22-ranked women vs. No. 19 Grand Valley State.
