Ashland Women Complete First Day in NCAA Division II East Regional Golf Tournament

The Eagles Currently Sit in 12th Place

On Monday, May 4, the Ashland University women's golf team completed it's first day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament. The Eagles entered this year's week of play with a strong previous showing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships that saw them finish as the league's runner-up.

Through the opening round of play in East Region action, the Eagles currently sit in 12th place with a total stroke count of 653 for a +77. The team that everyone in the ladder is currently chasing, the Univerity of Findlay Oilers, sits in first place with a count of 605 for a +29.

After posting a 325 in the first round, the Eagles followed themselves up with a 328 in the second.

Individually, the Eagles currently have Cracyn Vidovic tied for 13th (156: 79, 77), Klaira Paramore tied for 42nd (164: 79, 85), Anna Machamer tied for 49th (165: 81, 84), Zoe Mort in 75th (173: 90, 83), Sammi Miller in 92nd (84: N/A, 84) and Leeann Harker (86: 86, N/A). As a team, the Eagles are right within reach of jumping quickly back up the standings and fighting for a spot to leave regionals and move onto the next round.

Ashland and the rest of the teams are right back in action on Tuesday, May 5, at 9:00 a.m. EST for Day 2 of this year's regional tournament.
