When the dust settled and 290 matches were contested at the Super Region 3 meet on Saturday (Feb. 28), five Ashland University wrestlers had qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships, in Sioux Falls, S.D., on March 13-14.

Fletcher Rose and No. 6-ranked junior 197-pounder
Peyton Lemon – were regional runners-up. Three more – No. 7-ranked junior 149-pounder
Hayden Kuhn, senior 165-pounder
Nate Barrett and No. 9-ranked senior 174-pounder
Sevriano Garza – earned nationals spots by winning third-place matches.

Rose was 2-1 with two decisions, and Lemon ended 3-1 with a pin, a major decision and a decision. Both will make their initial nationals appearance.

Kuhn (pin, technical fall, decision, medical default), Barrett (two tech falls, major decision, decision) and Garza (tech fall, three decisions) all ended Saturday at 4-1. Barrett will go to nationals for the fourth time, Garza for the third time, and Kuhn for a second consecutive season.

In the final team standings, the No. 16-ranked Eagles scored 103 points, placing fifth in the 12-team field. Ending in the top four were Glenville State (142), Grand Valley State (140.5), Tiffin 119) and West Liberty (118.5).
