Ashland University's men's golf team is a Top 25 squad in the final Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches' Poll prior to the 2027 spring championship season.
The latest poll was revealed on Friday (Nov. 6) afternoon, and the Eagles moved from receiving votes to No. 20. This is the first time the AU men have been in the Top 25 of the Coaches' Poll going back to the start of the 2019-20 season.
"This is a proud moment for our program. Finishing the fall season nationally-ranked for the first time in school history is a testament to the hard work, commitment, and belief our student-athletes have shown every day," said Ashland head coach
Dennis North. "We also recognize the former players who laid the foundation and our supporters whose generosity made this progress possible.
"We're excited about what we've built and even more excited about what's still ahead."
The Eagles also are in the No. 19 slot in the latest D-II men's Scoreboard rankings.
Ashland's men played in five fall tournaments – the regional preview at Grand Valley State (fifth place among 18 teams), the UIndy Fall Invitational (eighth of 17 teams), its host Crossroads Cup (second of 15 teams), Findlay's Doc Spragg Invitational (tied for fourth of 19 teams), and the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin (second of nine teams).
