A third consecutive day of play for Ashland University's women's golf team on Monday (Sept. 29) ended in a tied-for-seventh-place finish at the 10-team Gildas Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State.
The Eagles played on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 27-28) at Ferris State's Bulldog Fall Classic – giving them 72 holes of play over three days in Michigan.
Ashland's team score on Monday was 308-323—631. The host Lakers won (291-294—585), followed by Findlay (300-293—593) and Ferris State (286-307—593) in a tie for second.
Senior
Klaira Paramore (77-79—156, three birdies) and freshman
Anna Machamer (76-80—156, four birdies) each led the AU way by ending in a tie for 26
th. Sophomore
Sammi Miller tied for 30
th at 75-82—157 (three birdies).
Sophomore
Dakota Riley (tied for 41
st, 80-82—162, one birdie) and junior
LeeAnn Harker (tied for 46
th, 83-82—165, one birdie) finished off the Eagle team effort.
Playing as an individual was junior
Riley McKenzie (tied for 46
th, 86-79--165, one birdie).
Findlay's Ashleigh Duflo (70-70—140) was the individual medalist.
