Following the second and final round of the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Classic on Sunday (Sept. 28), Ashland University's women's golf team moved up to finish in seventh place in the 13-team event.
The Eagles' final team score was 324-309—633. Grand Valley State was the team champion at 298-285—583, followed by the host Bulldogs (300-303—603) and Tiffin (316-300—616).
Freshman
Anna Machamer was the Ashland pacesetter on the weekend, finishing in a tie for ninth place individually at 78-74—152 and with seven birdies.
Senior
Klaira Paramore tied for 33
rd (81-79—160), and junior
LeeAnn Harker tied for 35
th (84-77—161, two birdies). Rounding out the Eagle team showing were sophomores
Sammi Miller (tied for 44
th, 81-81—162, one birdie) and
Dakota Riley (tied for 52
nd, 85-79—164, two birdies).
Junior
Riley McKenzie played as an individual, and ended in a tie for 27
th (78-81—159, two birdies).
Individual medalist was GVSU's Lea Stotz (70-70—140).
