Ashland University's women's golf team played the first round of Ferris State's Bulldog Fall Classic on Saturday (Sept. 27), and the Eagles are tied for ninth place in the 13-team field through 18 holes.
Freshman
Anna Machamer led the Eagle team effort with a 78 and four birdies, and is tied for 16
th individually. Senior
Klaira Paramore and sophomore
Sammi Miller each are tied for 34
th with first-round 81s (Miller had a birdie).
Junior
LeeAnn Harker is tied for 54
th (84), and sophomore
Dakota Riley is tied for 60
th (85, one birdie).
Playing as an individual was junior
Riley McKenzie, who tied for 16
th at the end of the day with a round of 78 (two birdies).
The Eagles' team score after Day 1 was 324. Grand Valley State is the team leader (298), followed by the host Bulldogs (300) and Gannon (309).
