Ashland University's women's golf "A" team began the 2025-26 season with 18 holes at the Ohio Dominican Champions of Women's Golf Classic on Saturday (Sept. 13).
The Eagles' team score of 309 was good for third place, and trailed only Tiffin (303) and Gannon (308) after the event's first 18 holes.
Junior
LeeAnn Harker (tied for fifth, 75, one birdie) and sophomore
Dakota Riley (tied for 10
th, 76, 1 birdie) led the AU effort on Day 1. Freshman
Anna Machamer (tied for 21
st) shot a 79 with a birdie in her first collegiate round, sophomore
Sammi Miller (tied for 21
st) also fired a 79, junior
Riley McKenzie (tied for 27
th) had an 80, and senior
Klaira Paramore (tied for 31
st) added an 81 with a birdie.
Playing as an individual was sophomore
Maddie Fleck (tied for 43
rd, 83, one birdie).
