The NCAA Division II East Regional women's golf tournament began on Monday (May 5), and Ashland University started postseason play in 17
th place among the 18-team field through the first 18 holes.
Playing the first round at The Meadows at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich., the Eagles ended with a team score of 330. The top five teams advance to D-II nationals, and through Monday, they are Grand Valley State (290), Findlay (296), Tiffin and Indianapolis (306 each), and Missouri-St. Louis (312).
