An inclement weather-marred Day 1 of the stroke play portion of the 2025 Great Midwest Athletic Conference women's golf Championship on Thursday (April 24) ended with none of the league's 10 teams finishing all 36 holes.
Ashland University's women's golf team finished what was played on Thursday in third place at 40-over par. The top two teams in the conference after stroke play concludes moves on to Saturday's (April 26) medal match play title round – those teams so far are Findlay (2-over par) and Tiffin (21-over par).
Sophomore
LeeAnn Harker is among the top individuals so far as the conference championship. Harker is in fourth place at 3-over par through 10 second-round holes with four birdies.
Junior
Klaira Paramore is tied for 18
th at 12-over par (two birdies), seniors
Emma Conway and
Grace Grant are tied for 23
rd at 14-over par (Conway three birdies, Grant two birdies), and sophomore
Riley McKenzie is tied for 30
th at 16-over par (three birdies).
