Finishing the two-day, three-round Findlay Spring Invitational on Tuesday (March 18) in Richmond, Ky., the Ashland University women's golf team ended in sixth place in the 14-team field.
The Eagles' team score was 305-313-315—933. Anderson, S.C., was the team medalist at 291-281-289—861, the host Oilers placed second (287-286-295—868), and Missouri-St. Louis finished third (297-295-298).
Pacing the team showing for AU was senior
Grace Grant, who was 28
th at 79-74-78—231 and recorded five birdies. Sophomore
LeeAnn Harker's final-round 73 moved her up to a tie for 33
rd (76-85-73—234, one birdie).
Both junior
Klaira Paramore (75-76-84—235, four birdies) and senior
Emma Conway (75-78-82—235, one birdie) tied for 36
th, while sophomore
Riley McKenzie was 61
st (86-86-82—254, four birdies).
Individually, freshman
Sammi Miller was AU's top placer, ending in a tie for 19
th place at 81-73-74 and with seven birdies.
