The 14-team Findlay Spring Invitational began on Monday (March 17) in Richmond, Ky., and while the first two rounds didn't finish in total due to darkness, Ashland University's women's golf team did end the day in seventh place.
With a hole left to play in Round 2, the Eagles are 42 shots over par. Anderson, S.C., is first at 4-under, the host Oilers are second a shot back, and Missouri-St. Louis is a distant third at 16-over.
Junior
Klaira Paramore is tied for 22
nd at 7-over (four birdies), senior
Emma Conway is 31
st at 9-over (one birdie), and senior
Grace Grant ended the day tied for 32
nd at 10-over (two birdies).
Sophomores
LeeAnn Harker (50
th, 17-over) and
Riley McKenzie (tied for 65
th, 26 over, one birdie) rounded out the team showing on Monday.
Playing as an individual was freshman
Sammi Miller (tied for 32
nd, 10-over, five birdies).
