No. 21 AU Grapplers End Regular Season With Dual Wins Vs. Davenport, Thomas More

The No. 21-ranked Ashland University wrestling team finished the 2024-25 regular season with the most single-season duals wins for an Eagle team in 13 years after topping Davenport (53-0) and host Thomas More (44-9) on Sunday (Feb. 16).
 
Ashland went 13-2 in dual matches this season, which the 2011-12 Eagles also accomplished.
 
Earning two wins each on the mat on Sunday were:

• Sophomore 125-pounder Luke Acuna (25-8 record) – pin in 2:41 and 12-4 major decision.
• Freshman 133-pounder Rylen Campbell (19-15) – pins in 4:05 and 2:36.
• Sophomore 149-pounder Hayden Kuhn (26-6) – pin in 4:15 and 19-0 technical fall.
• Freshman 157-pounder Lance Overmyer (25-11) – pins in 1:00 and 2:58.
• Junior 165-pounder Nate Barrett (26-9) – two 15-0 tech falls.
• Junior 174-pounder Sevriano Garza (25-2) – 15-2 major decision and pin in 1:53.
• Junior 285-pounder Wyatt Bailey (18-9) – pins in 2:44 and 1:30.
