th Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind., took place on Saturday (Dec. 13), and six wrestlers for No. 21-ranked Ashland University have advanced to Day 2.

Four Eagles have advanced to the quarterfinals in their respective weight classes, and all four are nationally-ranked:
- No. 6-ranked junior Hayden Kuhn at 149 pounds (3-0, two pins).
- No. 10-ranked senior Sevriano Garza at 174 pounds (2-0).
- No. 10-ranked redshirt freshman Fletcher Rose at 184 pounds (2-0, one major decision).
- No. 15-ranked junior Peyton Lemon at 197 pounds (3-0, one major decision).
Remaining in the consolation round are No. 11-ranked 125-pound junior
Luke Acuna (3-1, one pin) and 285-pound senior
Wyatt Bailey (2-1, one pin, one technical fall).

Also competing for AU on Saturday were sophomore
Donovan Paes at 133 pounds (1-2), sophomore
Rylen Campbell at 141 pounds (2-2), junior
Fernando Lopez at 157 pounds (1-2), and redshirt freshman
Gavin Nelson at 165 pounds (0-2).

As a team, Ashland is tied for 14
th place with 35 points. Pitt-Johnstown is first (58), followed by Parkside (50.5) and Glenville State (47.5).
